In the Zone by Pastor Ron

April 28th, 2009 by KPIC Admin

Our May sermon theme is Life in the Zone.  If you google “sports psychology in the zone”, there’s a lot of stuff explaining it from a psychological or performance perspective.

Recent applied sport psychology literature is replete with references to “the zone” (e.g., Clarkson, 1999; Goldberg, 1998). It’s Easter – What’s the Big Deal?

April 8th, 2009 by KPIC Admin

This Sunday at KPIC, we’re going to try things a little differently. It’s Easter, and we know a number of people who may not typically go to church throughout the year may be tempted to come try it out. Because of that, we want to tear down any walls that would keep them from meeting Jesus and developing a real relationship with Him and hopefully us. So we’re going to modify things a little.

For most, it won’t seem significant, but for those who come in new, we hope it will feel comfortable. Some things normally done in a traditional church meeting can honestly and understandably scare people off.  Scare them off from God, from church, and from everything we really want them to know, believe in, and understand.

Our hope this weekend is to create an environment where lost people (those who don’t yet enjoy a relationship with Jesus) can enter our community without fear. We hope you’re with us, and we’d appreciate your prayers that God uses this service to work mightily in people’s hearts.

Feel free to bring your friends and neighbors, and let’s pray together that God Himself will touch and change many lives.

Did you come to church Sunday wondering, “What happened here this weekend?” See a brief highlight video from last weekend’s Campus Harvest – click here! What a privilege to host such a powerful student conference that encourages and inspires them to live their whole lives for God.
