October 30th, 2009 by KPIC Admin

Update: Jamaica’s March mission is a continued success!

Rollan Fisher, Youth Pastor and Triangle Campus Director, just returned from two days of reconnecting with all the activity that began last March at the University of the West Indies (UWI). (Read the original blog here.)

Alongside Lyndon Allen, Gregg Tipton and Michael “Verbs” Boyer (performer), Rollan and these men spent time reengaging the students who were saved in March, pulling together a group of initial students leaders for UWI.

Endurance Hebrews 10 by Jeff Bullock

October 28th, 2009 by KPIC Admin

Jeff & Ana Bullock are KPIC missionaries to Europe, planting churches in Ukraine, Poland, Hungary and most recently, Edinburgh, Scotland. Here is a blog written this summer while Jeff and Ana were vacationing in the US. Read more blogs by Jeff on his blog, “The Pub”.

In the USA for two weeks now.

Economic situation continues to be bad for most people.

Been reading Hebrews 10.

Remember the former days, after being enlightened, you endured a great conflict of suffering, first by being made a public spectacle through reproaches and tribulations and secondly by sharing the pain of those who were being so treated. You showed sympathy to the prisoners and accepted joyfully the seizure of your property, knowing that you have a better possession and a lasting one.

Remember the Former days after being Enlightened…It’s good to remember the day(s) when Jesus first reveal Himself to you and your eyes were opened to see the Kingdom of God.  Nothing else mattered.  Pride was absent. Jesus was all you could see.

Suffering is part of the Christian Walk…

I Can’t Wait for Romans 8

October 21st, 2009 by KPIC Admin

Reading Romans 8, we see the Christian believer’s hope, courage and victory in Christ in this life — the results of Jesus’ suffering for us — and in the one to come.

But so often, people who are found reading the 8th chapter of Romans probably aren’t reading the preceding chapter, chapter 7, which also outlines our struggle in this life with ourselves, our sin and defeat.

Join us this Sunday and the next for Pastor Ron’s “I Can’t Wait for Romans 8!”

Listening Before We Pray by Pastor Brian Diver

October 13th, 2009 by KPIC Admin

From the Prayer News page

One of the highest privileges we have as Christians is the right or opportunity to hear FROM God and SPEAK on His behalf. This is the essence of prayer. I am deeply moved and encouraged by the fact that even right now the Lord Jesus is doing this very activity. Hebrews 7:25 tells us that He ever lives to make intercession. To be involved in a similar calling is amazing and not to be taken lightly.

As I commit myself to this lifestyle, I am constantly challenged to pray with the same spirit or heart that Jesus has for people and/or circumstances. Isaiah 55: 8-9 serves as my standard. I want/long for His thoughts on whatever situation I am called upon to consider in prayer. Therefore, I listen before I pray.

This was not always the case, unfortunately. When I was younger and less mature, I would charge off to advance the Kingdom with my prayers. Most were probably ill-informed because I spoke before I listened. I thank God for His patience with me.

Hearing His heart/allowing Him to lift me up so I can see and hear properly has made all the difference. My words are less but their impact is exponentially greater.
