Children's Ministry

At KPIC, we have dynamic programs for children ages 6 months to grade 5 during our Sunday morning and Wednesday night event. Seeing over 160 children each week, we at King’s Kids Children’s Ministry want to see the next generation raised up to be everything God has for them. Below the event section, you’ll find some general information about our Sunday morning programs.

General Information

Children’s Programs are divided based on your child’s age and development needs. As such, we have three departments: Nursery (for ages 6 months to 2 years), Preschool (for ages 3 to 5), and Elementary (for age 6 through grade 5). Depending on the service time, we also make further divisions between these age groups to maximize the effectiveness of the ministry. For example, during our 10 am Sunday morning service, we have three Nursery classes, three Preschool classes, and two Elementary classes.

NURSERY – Children experience God’s love and care in a practical way in our Nursery classrooms. Whether it’s safe, supervised play, soothing music, engaging Bible stories, or age appropriate snacks, we will work to make sure your infant or toddler is happy to be with us.

PRESCHOOL – Children gain a further introduction to the classic characters and heroes from the Bible in our Preschool classrooms. Bible Lessons, associated crafts, singing & worship, group play, and snacks are planned to engage your child at an age appropriate level. We also work to give them a general knowledge of the Bible which will give them a framework for understanding as they develop.

ELEMENTARY – Children learn how to apply the teachings of the Bible and its practical lessons to their own lives. After joining in worship with their families during the first portion of our Sunday morning service, children are dismissed to grade based classes. There they’ll participate in games, Bible teaching, Scripture memory, and illustrations which are designed to give children a stronger understanding of God’s Word and His plan for them.

Sick Child Policy

For the safety and health of our children, we ask that parents not bring a child into the Children's Ministry if they have exhibited signs of sickness within the last 24 hours. These signs might include: non-allergic runny nose, fever, diarrhea, or productive cough. This is especially important during the cold season as sickness is easily transmitted through children’s play and contact. If a child is dropped off and later observed to be showing signs of sickness, we will contact the parents immediately for the protection of the other children.

Check-in & Security Procedures

For your child's safety, in the nursery and preschool classes, we use a numbered security system to maintain contact with parents. You will receive a security lable with your child's security number when you check your child in.

If your child is upset during the service, we will do everything we can to comfort them. If we are unable to do so and we determine that your child needs your attention, the number on your child's security label will be flashed on the large monitors on either side of the sanctuary when facing the stage.

In addition, the security label will be required of you when you come to pick up your child. If you lose this label, you will be required to produce a valid picture ID. If you delegate another individual to pick up your child, they must have the security label to do so.

Mission Statement

At King's Kids, we are excited about the opportunity to partner with parents in raising the next generation.  While we view our role as supplementary, we believe God's call is for us to make a ToTaL impact on the lives of young people in our church family and community.

  • T:  Teach them about the person of God and His work in our world,
  • T:  Train them to walk according to the Word of God, and
  • L:  Launch them into the unique destiny God has for them.
