Life in the Zone
May 2009
The zone, a term used by sports psychologists to describe a state
in which an athlete performs to the best of his or her ability, is
characterized by “performance that is exceptional and consistent,
automatic and flowing”. Athletes train their entire lives to compete in
the zone. We believe our spiritual development is no different. In this
practical series, the King’s Park staff will help you discover four of
the areas in which every Christian must train in order to achieve the
fullness of God’s promises for “life in the zone”.
May 3: The Mission Zone One of the great joys of the
Christian life is sharing our faith with others. In Matthew 28:18-19,
Jesus clearly sends us into the world as His voice of truth and freedom.
Join us as we learn how to live in our Mission Zone.
May 10: The Blessing Zone The Bible is filled with the promise
of amazing blessings. Learn how to walk in the obedience and faith
necessary to experience the Blessing Zone in its fullness.
May 17: The Supernatural Zone We know that Americans are
hungry for spiritual reality. Although there are numbers of religions
and philosophies competing for our attention, it is only through
Christianity that we can truly develop a relationship with their
Creator. Miracles, signs and wonders can and should follow the believing
Christian in this, the Supernatural Zone.
May 24: The Relational Zone One of the greatest places
Americans are suffering is in their cherished relationships. Learn what
life in the Relational Zone should look like as we develop the biblical
dynamics necessary to help you build and maintain healthy relationships
throughout life.
The Relational Zone will lead us into our "Celebrate the Nations"
Sunday on May 31 - come celebrate the "house of prayer for all nations"!
(Isaiah 56:7).
